An All-Ages Writing Adventure
Creative Chaos
Everyone has a story worth telling.
Let’s write yours.
Begin Your StoryOnce Upon a Time...
Nearly every story begins with a single sentence.
Maybe you’ve imagined a character, carried around an idea, filled pages of a notebook, or wondered what it would feel like to finally call yourself a writer.
Maybe you’ve told yourself:
“I’m not experienced enough.”
“I don’t know where to begin.”
“My ideas aren’t good enough.”
But every writer begins somewhere.
Creative Chaos begins with a simple belief:
Everyone has a story worth telling.
This six-week writing adventure gives you a place to write, experiment, ask questions, and discover what happens when you give yourself permission to create.
What Is Creative Chaos?
Creative Chaos is a six-week online writing adventure designed for curious minds of every age and experience level.
Whether you’re writing your first paragraph, filling your tenth notebook, or returning to writing after years away, you’ll find a place to write alongside other people who enjoy creating stories.
This isn’t about becoming the “perfect” writer.
It’s about writing.

Meet Sage Mooreland
Founder of Wisdom Education • Published Author • Teacher
I’m the founder of Wisdom Education and a published author, but more importantly, I’m a teacher.
I have decades of experience with teaching writing in many forms. I believe that every person has a story worth telling—and that creativity flourishes when writers are encouraged to experiment, take risks, and enjoy the process.
Whether you’re writing for the first time or returning to it after years away, I’d love to write alongside you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need writing experience?
Absolutely not! Anyone from people without a single word on a page to people with multiple published works is welcome. (Though if you're the latter type, I may beg to pick your brain later!)
The goal of Creative Chaos is to let out some of what is lurking down there in your creative soul, and everyone could use some help with that.
What ages are welcome?
Creative Chaos is an all-ages writing adventure.
While I would prefer participants to be at least 10 years old so that they have enough grasp of language to be more comfortable and/or less frustrated while trying to get a point across, I will happily work with anyone old enough to read and write via computer!
And there is no upper limit. No one is ever too old to try something new, especially something creative!
What if I miss a session?
Well, nothing cataclysmic!
If you miss a Monday session, you will have access to the materials, and we can talk about it during Wednesday's workshop or in a 1:1 Friday session.
If you miss Wednesday, that's optional anyway!
If you ask for a session on Friday and don't make it without contacting me to let me know you won't be there, I'm going to be disappointed and frustrated, and I'll talk to you about it, but that's it!
Which Monday session do I pick?
You pick whichever one best suits your schedule for that Monday.
That does mean if the morning session works better one week and the evening session is more convenient the next, then by all means, please switch which session you attend!
The goal is accessibility, and that includes flexibility.
What materials do I need?
The only thing you need is a way to access Zoom and the course materials! Anything else is up to you and the method you want to use going forward!
I do recommend having some tools for handwriting available, such as a notebook or scrap paper and a pen or pencil, because that's sometimes a useful way to work through a problem or brainstorm.
However, this is not required!
Is this interactive?
Yes! In fact, the more you interact with me and the other adventurers you encounter, the more you're going to learn.
Monday sessions are live, workshop hours are live, individual appointments are live, and all of my feedback and thoughts are 100% me!
You're going to have opportunities to brainstorm, write, edit, review, and even share your work with everyone if you'd like.
Will I have to share what I write?
Absolutely not. Not even with me, should you so choose.
This isn't about doing things you don't want to do; it's about doing things you do want to do.
Some people are never comfortable sharing their work with other people, and that's okay.
And when I say "even me," I mean that. I won't be able to help you as directly without seeing your work, but I can still give you the tools and help you understand how to use them!
Can a parent, guardian, or caregiver participate?
Certainly!
While I would prefer that parents, guardians, or caregivers of older children who are capable of independent participation (e.g., 14 and up) purchase their own space in the class if they want to start their own adventure, I understand that that's not always possible.
Parents, guardians, or caregivers of younger adventurers who need help, or helpers and caregivers of differently abled adventurers, are welcome to sit in without buying their own spot on the adventure team.
What kinds of writing will we do?
Stories, poetry, fantasy, mystery, fanfiction, creative nonfiction, and whatever else your imagination can invent.
Want to write a script? I can teach you how to do that!
Feel like poetry is more your jam? I can help you learn that, and I know some excellent poets who have graciously offered information to supplement what I offer.
Have you always felt like a novel is in your future? While it is possible to write a novel in 6 weeks (ask me about how I used to try and write one every November!), you'll likely find more benefit in the brainstorming and world building for longer works to carry you forward than in trying to rush out the words!
One More Thing...
Before You Begin Your Adventure
Creative Chaos is built around flexibility, privacy, respect, and clear expectations. Before you register, please take a few minutes to look through the policies that help keep the adventure safe, accessible, and fair for everyone.
Participation & Accessibility
Creative Chaos is an all-ages, all-abilities adventure. Cameras are optional, Monday sessions are flexible, Wednesday workshops are optional, and caregivers or helpers are welcome when an adventurer needs assistance.
Life happens here, too. If something is making it difficult for you to participate, talk to me. We'll figure out what we can.
Privacy & Creative Work
Your writing belongs to you, and you are never required to share it with me or with the group. Anything another adventurer chooses to share belongs to them and stays within Creative Chaos.
Participants may not record or take screenshots during Zoom sessions. Monday recordings are intended to capture the lesson, not the participants, and participant contributions will not be included in a distributed recording without permission.
Creative Community Expectations
Creative Chaos is a place to experiment, take risks, try weird things, try cliché things, make mistakes, and create without worrying about judgment.
That requires respect. Feedback is constructive and given only when someone asks for it. Advice is only helpful when someone wants it, and no one should make it harder for another adventurer to participate, create, or feel comfortable being here.
Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
Creative Chaos costs $300 for the six-week adventure, with a $25 pay-in-full discount and individualized no-interest payment plans available.
Refund and withdrawal options change as the adventure progresses. Before Creative Chaos begins, payments are fully refundable. During the early weeks, the policy is designed so that you are not paying for weeks you will not participate in. Beginning with Week 4, payments become nonrefundable.
If money itself is creating a problem, please talk to me. I don't want finances to be the reason someone believes they have to leave.
These are the highlights. You can read the full Creative Chaos Information, Policies, and Participant Agreements before registering.
